I’ve heard three main responses:
Folks in the network agree with the website and are looking for opportunities to leave.
Some leaders agree with some things on the website and are looking to making changes at their individual churches
Some leaders have ignored (or at least have not addressed it publicly or with the core of their churches) the claims and are trying to move forward as if nothing has happened.
I’m no longer in the network, but I have friends at various churches in the network. This also speaks to the dichotomies that exist within the system. I’ve been ruminating on the fact I know people personally in leadership and see how they are trying to make the best of what’s happening right now. I won’t speculate on what will happen in the long run, but it is interesting to watch from the outside.
