Insurance

My credit union offers used car loans of up to $5000 for which you do not need full coverage car insurance only plpd.

I have good credit and so my loan terms are 1.99% for sixty months at $84.11 per month.

Why post this?

  1. To help others who have oldy-but-goody cars.. to realize if you sell the old car and obtain a much more recent car, it may not leave you unexpectedly stranded and so, needing to come up with big $$ to get the damn thing going again.

  2. To give some person perspective ie. something to shoot for-

I was one of those who never thought about buying a used car off a lot.

Come to find out- What I wanted: a LEASE RETURN and not from a fleet/uber/ delivery service but a One leasor who did not wreck the car (I looked at the Carfax)... tl;dr I bought a one person/no wreck lease return, the woman had it for 3 years and turned it in, also it still has a warranty from Kia for a year and a half left.

Poor People's Problems and Logic= I bought a years worth of insurance so its paid for, and isn't up in the air like many Americans mo. to mo. bills. I wish I could afford the full coverage, I owe $3600 on the car still so again Poor People's Problems and Logic- I figure I could afford to lose a hundred bucks a month for 3 years if the car is totalled!!

If I come up with an ok job I intend to pay and get full coverage car insurance, it'd be nice.
