I don't even hold a grudge like some of these other fans for his apparent anti Rockets rhetoric; I don't give a shit. I don't like Bill Simmons because he's a hack. Always has been, always will be. We used to talk shit about him when "Book of Basketball" came out because he had insanely homer takes and some very questionable rankings.

Thing is though, I also think he's got some interesting viewpoints and he genuinely likes straight up competition. He's a super fan who was in the right place to say what he says at the right time, and used that to the maximum advantage. Between Grantland and 30 For 30, his time at ESPN was very influential in my own personal experience with sports journalism and the idea that it could be much more than dry commentary or hot takes.

So yeah, fuck Bill Simmons, but fuck being worried that some internet strangers don't like him either.

(Bonus fun fact: this organization is fucking trash right now. That might change, but some of his views on Houston aren't all that far off)
