I noticed something odd with the 32 rate of fire (RoF) hand cannons when looking at your sheet and /u/exxtrooper 's sheet. Maybe someone else has already answered this question before but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Do some 32 RoF Hand Cannon's actually fire faster than other 32 RoF Hand Cannon's? Keeping in mind that all Hand Cannons have a Crit Multiplier of 1.50x, here is a table with data from the destiny DB / your spreadsheet and data from the great spreadsheet made by /u/exxtrooper showing The Taken King Hand Cannons with a RoF stat of 32:
Hand Cannon | RoF | Impact | exxtrooper's Crit dmg | exxtrooper's RPM | exxtrooper's Crit Time to Kill |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
The Water Star | 32 | 68 | 86 | 138 | 0.86 seconds |
The Water Star (Adept) | 32 | 68 | 86 | 138 | 0.86 seconds |
Zaouli's Bane | 32 | 71 | 86 | 138 | 0.86 seconds |
Harrowed Zaouli's Bane | 32 | 71 | 86 | 138 | 0.86 seconds |
Appellant III | 32 | 68 | 77 | 164 | 0.73 seconds |
The Revelator | 32 | 68 | 77 | 164 | 0.73 seconds |
Kumakatok HC4 | 32 | 74 | 77 | 164 | 0.73 seconds |
Down and Doubt 00-0 | 32 | 74 | 77 | 164 | 0.73 seconds |
Notice how the bottom four Hand Cannon's show a higher RPM even though all the Hand Cannons have a RoF of 32. Because all of these Hand Cannon's need at least 3 bullets to kill in PvP without Luck in the Chamber procs, having that slightly faster RoF helps the bottom four Hand Cannon's have a faster theoretical TTK even when accounting for the variance in the impact stat.
Do we know why some 32 RoF Hand Cannons actually shoot faster than other 32 RoF Hand cannons or is exxtrooper's data somehow off? Sorry if these questions are dumb.
