Six hundred dollars. Bounces like a trampoline, wobbles like crazy, brakes are shot, one window won’t work, radiator fan and relay are shot and it’s all mine to waste time on. Pretty sure I’m a masochist...

The accord is easy, those cars are just simple and bulletproof.

First and foremost: If the car doesn't run, runs intermittently, stalls, and the tachometer dies/fluctuates wildly, it's very likely the "ignitor" inside the distributor (aka ignition control module). It takes about 20 minutes to change.

Steering/suspension:

  • Brakes. Here's the fun part. Front rotors are "captured" and you need to remove the hub to get them off. Easiest way to do this is remove caliper/bracket, remove the axle shaft (you may or may not need to remove lower ball joint), then unbolt the bearing assembly from the hub, and remove the bearing assembly/rotor, then unbolt and disassemble. It's a sealed bearing, so if you split it by accident, just replace it, but then you'll need to use a press, so be careful
