Sky News has been explaining Chinese aggression to me

Even as an American, it fucking baffles me how uneducated most people are to the point they see this shit and can think “yep, China is the most aggressive country in existence” for saying only a few words about Taiwan.

The US literally meanwhile wants everyone to conform to our standards otherwise we’ll punish them, and we have hundreds of bases surrounding their country and we sleep. You always hear the words “Chinese aggression” and “Russian aggression”, but the war on Iraq is just referred to as a mistake not “American aggression”.

It’s unbelievable how easily most Americans buy into our propaganda. Most bullshit I hear for why it’s except-able are people pointing out that the bases we put in these countries all want us there, but that’s completely false. The people of Okinawa Japan for example have been protesting the presence of US troops forever now, the Japanese government and the US government just doesn’t care because bad things tend to happen whenever you refuse an offer from the US. (Like sanctions, or no longer being included in some pact that makes you feel special for aligning with the US)

And whenever the US and UK forcibly removed the Chagossians from Diego Garcia, I’m pretty sure they didn’t appreciate us gassing their pet dogs in order to get them to move to a slummy island instead. They definitely didn’t want to give up their homes for the US military to set up base.

Not to mention there’s also been various polls done with the German people in the past that shows most don’t want US presence in their country, but again the citizens are just ignored by the western governments. The irony of all this is that the US would never tolerate any Russian or Chinese base anywhere near our territory, so if they were to do that and we protested it would just expose our hypocrisy.
