As someone in the ski industry, I wonder how these brands feel about their products being shat on

Funny you bring up Toyota, because that company in particular has had their brand pulled out of games like Burnout Paradise because they didn't think that sort of game expressed their brand I'm the way they want to be conveyed.

Which is the exact point of my post. I know plenty of branding and marketing professionals. Companies are super meticulous about how they are represented. Like they don't even want you fucking with the logo.

Paying a licensing fee doesn't allow you to devalue a brand. I guarantee there's some people at a few of those companies that aren't happy their product having FAR less ability than other products.

This would be like Forza only having a few top cars, meanwhile nerfing brands like Porche, Ferrari, BMW to only perform at 25%.

There's people at those companies who's entire job is to protect the brand.
