Curious if there are people who don't perceive/enjoy stereoscopic vision in VR

I see 3D fine. Actually, I refuse to visit a cinema for anything that is not a 3D showing. Flat content is too hard to make sense of the images to me. My fucky brain leaves me half blind to any visual content presented without the stereo depth information for my brain. It's an obligate accessibility feature to my brain to decode an image.

However, VR definitely has not ever provided me a sense of being there. I find it no more immersive than gaming on a monitor. If anything, I think for me, VR is a little less immersive than gaming on a monitor, due to the increased effort in processing what is going on and keeping track of everything happening in the game. There's just too much sensory input for my brain to process, which results in me being less aware and more easily overwhelmed. But then, I'm somebody who struggles to navigate a busy space without knocking into a bunch of people and angrying a small pack of karens who don't seem to understand how hard it is to maintain the most basic spatial awareness when there are several people in the same room, especially if one of them is talking, which just ramps up the sensory fuckery even further.
