I think you're right about the manufacturing location, and I would trust Koreans over Americans any day building a car as sad as that is to admit being an American. You may not see near as many problems as I did as a result and most of these I would consider quality control issues for sure.

Unfortunately though if you do experience a problem of any kind you're still subject to servicing wait times at the same crappy dealerships I had the pleasure of dealing with. You'll probably notice consistencies in regards to people complaining about customer service all over the country with dealerships. Some people love their dealer but I have five in my area and called all five trying to get my transmission fixed sooner and none could offer anything better. Then I ended up servicing at four different dealers for issues thinking one would be better but they all seem the same.
