There are more complex reasons behind her impeachment here. 1) she had been handling a long classified government information to her shamanistic cultist called "Choi Soon-Sil", who was a daughter of an infamous shaman cult leader who had allegedly had an "inappropriate" relationship until he died in 1994. Choi Soon-Sil and her cultists associates founded "Mir Foundation", which is basically a Korean equivalent of Clinton Foundation. 2) Park basically let her shaman cultist friend who was NOT EVEN VOTED TO SERVE THE GOVERNMENT, to make several important domestic and foreign policies ever since she was inaugurated as a president in 2013, therefore undermining the very foundation of Republic of Korea as a free capitalist, representative democratic nation. 3) Park and Choi forced a lot of big corporates to pay bribes for Mir Foundation. One of the corporate executives even committed "suicide" after refusing to pay for them. 4) They also tried to censor and control the entertainment industries and mainstream media outlets, but fortunately failed. Korean MSMs absolutely HATE Park for that so they have been more than enthusiastic in exposing Park's crimes 24/7 in their news networks.

That "8 Goddesses" thing is currently still being investigated by journalists and DOJ here but that is actually not as important as other even more serious cultist allegation here. It's the Mir Foundation that could be most accurately described as a "shadow government", with Choi as their "high priestess". Park's chief of staff/advisor guy, who has ties with Mir Foundation, and also quite appropriately nicknamed by online pundits as "Korea'a John Podesta", is even rumoured to have performed a human sacrifice ritual dedicated to Choi's cult leader dad's spirit "trapped inside hell" as they put it.
