[Spoilers] Breakdown of Season 13 Episode 5 - "No Fighting in the War Room"

if you dont understand what the word almost means its going to be very difficult to have a conversation

I said the same thing, albeit for different reasons.

Wash is NOT paranoid

I agree! I've never agreed with anything more than I do right now!

So, now it's your turn to agree with me:

Washington WAS paranoid.

Now, let's extrapolate that just a bit:

Washington's paranoia was very deep-seeded because of all the times he had been lied to and betrayed by people he trusted. It wasn't just a passing sensation.

Now I'll go out on a limb and say that that level of paranoia never entirely goes away. It gets reduced, it gets controlled, it gets managed. But mental health issues aren't like the common cold.

if you dont understand what the word almost means its going to be very difficult to have a conversation

This isn't really relevant to the conversation, but I've written articles on mental health issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder. I'm not going to diagnose Washington as having PTSD (that's a job for a counselor), but I would say that Washington had a lot of trauma in the past. And if the trauma he suffered is similar to the PTSD that soldiers suffer (Washington's line of work would qualify), then I hazard a guess that trauma like that is never fully cured. It's not a switch that can be flipped, on or off. It's a spectrum. Washington has had a lot of help moving to a good end of the spectrum, and he's done really well staying on that good end.

But there's always a bad end to the spectrum, and unfortunately for Washington, there is a person who knows how to move him back there, a person who understands his psychological profile (albeit on outdated information).
