Agitaba United Republic (Athanebian)

Also referred to as "Athanebian Republic" or "Athanebian Patriarchy"

The Agitaba United Republic is a Constitutional Republic of the Athanebian, an amphibious reptile species that mostly inhabit the North East of the Heaven's Gate galaxy.

Long time ago, even before reaching space exploration era, most Athanebian were united under the rule of the Vistmu Empire. The Vistmu Empire rules the entire Athanebian race through direct control or vassal states. It directly controls most of Resh's trade routes and directs it to the main continent of the Empire, Vistmutari, and forced its vassals to depend on it. Under the rule of the Vistmu Empire, the Athanebian enter a Golden Age of Technology and Science. Scientific research was openly encouraged and funded by the Empire. Scholars can debate with the Emperor about politics, economy, philosophy, ... Countless inventions were invented and greatly improve the life of average Athanebian. Many space explorations were launched and achieved many successful results in this era. It was said the current FTL technology that the Agitaba United Republic is using, was developed from various experiments made during the time of the Empire. But like every other empire in history, the Vistmu Empire grew weaker day by day. A series of incompetent Emperors make the Empire's crisis grow bigger. Its government becomes more authoritarian, its officials become more corrupt. The Emperor doesn't even bother the governing job anymore, but instead spends his time on meaningless hobbies. The golden age of Science came to an end, and space expeditions were completely stopped. The Empire's vassals become more disloyal as time goes on. Life of the average Athanebian becomes more difficult as the government becomes more corrupt. Combine with natural disasters happen frequency, it marks the beginning of the end for the Vistmu Empire.

It started with a small rebellion in the distant Kingdom of Agitaba. The rebellion was expected to be crushed within a few weeks, but the army of the Agitaba Kingdom was proven to be too corrupt to stop the rebellion. After winning their first few battles, the rebels gain huge momentum and support, they spread like wildfire everywhere, liberated numerous villages and cities. Within the first two months since the rebellion began, the rebel had successfully captured the capital of the Agitaba Kingdom, execute its lord, and proclaim the foundation of Agitaba Republic. This sparked a massive revolutionary wave across the entire Vistmu Empire and its vassal states. Vassal state after vassal state falls into the flame of the revolution. One vassal state that the Vistmu lost, is another republic that join the force of Agitaba Republic in the crusade against the Vistmu Empire. As the Empire lost its holding on other continents, it retreats to its main continent of Vistmutari. But plan prove to be useless as the revolutionary was able to land on the container with help from the local people. The fight for the Vistmu capital was bloody and brutal as the Empire threw everything it has to stop the revolutionary advancement. The Vistmu Empire collapsed with the fall of Vistmuloan, with most of the royal family executed.

The Agitaba Republic triumphed with the collapse of the Vistmu Empire, and became the new leader of the Athanebian race. But the war itself had left a lot of damage to the Athanebian species, billion Athanebian perished, numerous cities destroyed, infrastructure damaged beyond recognition, many parts of Resh even become uninhabitable. When the Agitaba United Republic was founded in the late Mytso 1.9, its priority was to resume the space expedition program that was hauled during the last day of the Empire. Resources that come from space helped the Athanebian greatly in their reconstruction progress. Which in turn funds more space exploration programs. When the Athanebian successfully invented the FTL Drive in early Mytso 2.0, they rapidly expand in every direction, colonize thousand of planets, harvested tons of resources from these planets, open the second Golden era of Athanebian civilization. Then they encounter their modern-day neighbors, the Truffle and the Folita. At first, the relationship between the Athanebian and these two alien civilizations was warm. The Athanebian people welcome the delegates from Lactarian Union and Utopian State with open arms. The Agitaba Republic have sent many gifts and signed trade agreements with their neighbors civilizations to further improve the relationship. But the friendship between Athanebian and their alien friends quickly falls apart when they found out the Truffle government has actively sponsored kidnapping program on Athanebian population for their unethical experiments, while the Folita openly denounced Athanebian society and way of life as against the will of Heaven. The Athanebian closed their border and isolate themselves. Many poor Athanebian live on planets far from the capital have become pirates and begin raiding Truffle and Folita space, further increasing hostility between Athanebian and those two. Around this time, the Athanebian received a delegate from a mysterious civilization from the South, the Tetrian. This time, the Athanebian react to their new neighbor was cold and cautious. But the Tetrian in turn helped the Athanebian in many aspects like military, economy... Which improves Athanebian view of alien civilization. When Tetrian launched a huge invasion on the Folita and the Truffle in Mytso 2.5, the Athanebian was secretly helping their allies by increasing raiding the Truffle and the Folita. But after Tetrian was defeated, they left their northern allies vulnerable. This results in the Mytso 2.7 Truffle - Athanebian war, in which the Athanebian nearly lost the entire Restenga wing, which could the result if the Tetrian didn't intervene on time. The war and the lost of 3/4 Restenga wing had traumatized the Agitaba Republic for many millennia. Many presidents had come with the promise of reclaiming Restenga, and left while the spiral wing still remain under the rule of the Truffle.

The current era of Agitaba United Republic reminds its citizens of the final day of the Vistmu Empire. Corruption run rampant in every corner of its government. Politicians will let their citizens die in mass just to get the vote. Its politic become more polarized with two major party constantly fighting and mocking each other. Criminal become widespread, some pirates lord even form de facto nation inside the Republic. While at the same time the Republic are under threat of another invasion.

But the time are changing, new from their southern allies review that they are preparing another invasion on the Folita, which could drag the Truffle into the war. Which could be a perfect opportunity for the Athanebian and the Agitaba Republic to reclaim the Restenga wing. For the first time in thousands years, the entire Athanebian species are gearing up for a massive war to liberate their people and end the Truffle occupation once and for all.

Deep inside Truffle occupied Restenga, in the planet of Hotso, an young and ambitious Athanebian name Vistmu Ankara are secretly building up his force to liberate his people from the brutal occupation of the Truffle, first step in his ultimate goal, destroy the corrupt Agitaba Republic and restore the throne of Vistmu Empire.
