So is Starfield basically The Outer Worlds but slightly different

Well yes and no, when you choose a landing location like a "hero location" (like the 4 big citys) or when you choose a "point of interest" location or when you choose a random location (auto generated) these are limited sized flat maps, you cannot traverse the entire planet or moon, you have to get into your ship, watch the take off animation, pick a new landing location, watch the landing animation ( plus maybe look at a loading screen) and THEN you can explore that new location.

In that sense, starfield just has way more maps than the outer worlds, but it is still similar in design in that aspect, there is no planet tech, there is no atmospheric flight, there is no manual landing/exploration etc
