Fun recipes for teaching a kid how to cook?

I feel like kids might like customizable dishes like nachos, mini pizzas on pita bread, grilled sandwiches. Thai summer rolls are fun and pretty. (They are the ones with rice wrappers that are soaked, not fried.) Just cut up a bunch of vegetables and herbs and have some seared meats like shrimp or pork. Very briefly dunk each rice paper wrap in hot water right before rolling, then she can decide what she wants in hers and roll it up. Serve with sweet chili sauce or make peanut sauce. Stir fry Thai red or panang curry paste with a little coconut milk then add more coconut milk to thin it then take off heat and whisk in some regular sweetened peanut butter till it's the consistency you want. Adjust with soy sauce and lime juice.
