Stepping out my shell want to upgrade to Samsung. Need advice.

If you want a phone that will last an entire day (for example, go out at 9am, come home at 10pm), upgrade to an iPhone 13 or 14, if you don't mind charging during the day (for example, if you have a cable at work), get the Samsung. For me, the interface differences between iOS and Android are not so important as I normally just use apps like Reddit and YouTube and once you're in an app, the operating system is no longer too relevant.

As for photos, I always found iPhone photos to be more natural looking - I could never take selfies with Samsungs without looking like they caked on a layer of makeup for me. It's possible this is because it's a Korean brand aimed at Korean girls who like to use heavy processing to make themselves look more white in their photos.

YMMV.
