Stevens Bros. hate thread

good writing makes you feel intense emotions when in absence of the media you would not. Everything you feel for Danny is the result of good writing

That's some "no matter what you think, I'm still right" type of thinking ya got there.

I don't hate both the Stevens kids equally. While I hate the choices Jimmy makes, I respect him as a character, his journey and struggles as a person, whereas I just feel Danny's plotline is out of place and ridiculously stupid. Much like Joffrey I hate to see Jimmy smile, but I actually enjoy and am engrossed in his plotline. Whereas every time Danny makes a choice or has a plot point I'm just reminded that I'm watching a tv show. His storylines very much feel like a soap opera. Him punching himself in the face felt like it came from a completely different show.

The reasons why Danny is insufferable is because everyone else does things that make no sense around him, like sleep with him, let him go to fucking Mars, or continue to give him duties after LITERALLY JUST humiliating him in front of the crew for being high on duty.

Joffrey is horrible, but everything he does seems within his power and the way he's been brought up as a sadistic little inbred kinglet. He was so terrible because he had so power that made it hard to stop him. Danny just gets dragged along by ridiculous annoying soap opera plots. It's fucking stupid. He's the worst part of the show through and through. Every other plot is full of meaningful character development and legitimate trials and tribulations, and then you have fucking Danny who just punches himself in his stupid face.
