TLDR: high as fuck, watched a plane crash and explode in a massive fireball about a football field or two from me.

I was driving north on the highway about 8-9 years ago, near Trenton New Jersey. I think it was I-95. I looked up and saw a twin engine cargo plane, like around the size of a Twin Otter. I’ve seen enough planes in my life at a previous job to know something was wrong. I watched it bank left, then left again, heading in my direction but above the fields off to the other side of the other lanes. Then I watched the left wing just ROTATE downward, the whole plane rotated 90 degrees, and it went down WING FIRST into the field just on the other side of the trees. I didn’t see the actual impact, just the full plane slide sideways down below the line of trees. What I did see, however, was the massive fireball that erupted. It cleared the tops of those trees, maybe 60-70 feet in the air? More? I was only trained as an EMR from a course I did in the past but I had some first aid shit. I pulled over and got ready to get out and run and see if I could help the pilots. And that’s when I remembered I was high as fuuuuuuck. Super bloodshot eyes. While looking at myself in the rear view I saw all these other cars stopping behind me. I figured fuck it I’m not going to get a DUI for what I assume are some crispy critters, so I just put my car in drive and kept on moving. I looked it up later, it was a blood transport plane and both crew survived with some burns.
