[story] | A few days ago was my first time posting on reddit. I figured I’d drop this on y’all too. This is my fiancée and I. We connected through recovery. Now we’re helping others recover as well! Just goes to show no matter where you’ve been in life or how bad things have got THERE IS HOPE! -

Congrats you two.. Just made it past 9 months after 10 years of intermittent long term sobriety and relapse. It was so hard to make it back after going out, 10/10 do not recommend.

7 of those months I've been working at a homeless shelter, and I'm halfway through earning my EMT certification! I'm going to become a Paramedic/Firefighter, come hell or high water.

Someone mentioned the opposite of addiction is connection and I 100% believe that. Being connected to others who are passionately serving their fellows has massively changed my outlook on life, spirituality, what love means, and what my purpose is. I have a purpose now. It seems you do to, and Im proud of you!
