i’m 5 weeks from an FET as of yesterday. i just told my parents, and my mom’s response was “don’t do anything stupid this time.” i asked her what she meant and she said well you went rollerblading last time (which is true, i rollerbladed with my stepkids kids when i was pregnant the first time i miscarried, but that didn’t cause the fucking miscarriage). she couldn’t say something nice as her first response. and then her happiness seemed so fake which i think is just because it’s her 10th grandkid not including my two SKs. i only told her this early because i told my MIL last night (which i was excited to do to bc i am friends with her and knew she’d react appropriately) and then felt bad i didn’t tell my own mom. my eyes welled up and i almost started crying on facetime.
