What did you see that you definitely weren’t supposed to see?

Long story,

manager didn't like me cause I would give her lip about safety issues. She was constantly telling people to disregard safety training to go faster. We got in a few arguments (mind you I know how to argue work stuff, I was a manager once upon a time so I know how to phrase it that doesn't get me fired) and basically she didn't like me for not being a pushover, and also not being the kinda person she could easily fire.

Now in comes a girl who had been stalking me for a year after I had rejected her advances (which it's like, she was pretty but I had a gf, which seems reasonable to me) and she literally swore (and I've been accused of being a lier but I swear these are her words ) "I'll make you suffer for what you've done"

So basically a year of stalking me ensues and this girl starts getting angry that I have a wgaf attitude about it(she was doing stupid shit, like following me around with a guy hanging off her, really stupid shit to do when the guy you are trying to bother isnt a relationship, it's like she didn't get that I wasn't interested, it feels like she thought I wanted to date her but didn't out of spite or something idfk) . She starts upping her game to trying to get me in trouble, basically constant accusation of me being lazy, or unclean (which backfired on her since I'm top 5 in performance in a building of 1700) after that didn't work she decided she was gonna spread some rumor about me being a creep. I'm not sure exactly what the rumor was, but it was enough to get men to get hostile and women to act scared. And I remember watching her literally pull people over to me, point at me and talk. Like she was being super obvious with it.

Come to find out the manager in question was helping her spread the rumors. Once she was sure that I would be screwed the manager launched an investigation into me.

Unfortunately for the stalker girl, if you want a successful case against someone, going around to dozens of people and openly bragging about creating a false rumor to get a guy fired is not the way to go about it. Not to mention people were putting in complaints about how her friends would scream at me.

So the stalker was fired ofc, but the manager wasn't caught. And basically I walked in on the convo she was having asking how to cover up that she was spreading the rumor to try to get me fired. Which btw is a hate crime, I found that out when my building management went into a complete panic the moment the connected the dots that the stalker was trying to get me fired for rejecting her.

What ended up happening was the stalker girl and her immediate friend group were either fired or forcefully transferred shifts. The manager was fired, as well as her assistant managers and the person she trained to replace her was retrained by someone new. Management was so afraid of a lawsuit from me they full on rewrote alot of the policy around safety and employee training to include things I had originally bitched about and they now have people actively patrol the building looking out for toxic behavior. Which I suppose was one positive to come out of a year of crash stress.

Also now the managers at my building are afraid of me. Most of them will avoid eye contact, and fully avoid me. My current manager is cool though. She actually ended up being the one to put the nail in the crazy managers coffin. Because she started her own investigations into how I was being treated, even before I walked in on her admitting to it.
