Swedish girl explains what's wrong with her country

I think people are being too harsh on her as an individual. She's a 15yo girl and has been brought up as a non-secular muslim. From her point of view, swedish society is an assault on her identity as a muslim female. The western secular ideas are not compatible with her lifestyle and frame of reference.

I am principally against mass immigration and for stronger integration of immigrants, especially those from very different cultures. This is where the swedish state (as well as many western european states) has miserably failed. They have failed to sufficiently intervene in the upbringing of this girl, and have failed to show parents how to raise a secular westerner. And yes, i naturally hold immigrants to a higher standard than the natives in their own country.

However, western european societies have decided that unchecked mass immigration and unbridled multiculturalism is a good thing and something to strive for, while wilfully ignoring the long term effects on society from such a policy. If you bring in too many immigrants in so short a period of time, you cannot possible fully integrate all of them. You create social issues such as segregation and also white flight. I have seen it right here in the neighborhood i live. You also create more right wing voters.

This creates a problem for both the native europeans and the immigrants. As a non-white 2nd gen immigrant myself in western europe, I simply cannot comprehend why europeans and their govts are so positive that this can possibly go well. European countries are not like america or canada. Multiculturalism (somewhat) works in those latter countries because they are obviously very different, historically and culturally and also in size, from european countries.

The very outrage in this thread and rise of far right wing sentiment across the continent is clear evidence that western europe is headed in a very dangerous direction. What used to be 'racist right wing kook fearmongering' (according to mediamatters.org commenters i used to debate years ago, is now becoming reality. What the extreme 'open and tolerant' europeans are doing is diametrically opposed to the interests of the minorities already living here.
