Syncing songs to metronome within Ableton

My go-to tactic is: 1. warp your audio 2. find the first on-beat marker (or create one if there is no fitting marker at the beginning of your audio, you can set it to a full or a half-beat) 3. right click on the marker and press "set 1.1.1 here" 4. right click again and click "warp from here (straight)" 5. find out the BPM of your audio (if its an acapella from a popular sound, use tunebat, you can also use "Mixmeisters BPM Analyzer" or use the "tap" function inside your DAW) 6. type the original BPM in the BPM field at your warping section 7. your audios BPM should now fit the projects BPM

Another more time consuming strategy is, that you repeat the first 3 steps. With that done, you'll have two options depending on the difference of BPM compared to your projects BPM:

If your audio is just like +-5-10 BPM compared to your project:

scroll at the very last section of your audio find the last beat set a marker to it adjust it so it fits the metronome It automatically fits everything behind your last marker to your tempo

If your audio is >10 BPM compared to your project BPM, you'll unfortunately have to fit it to the tempo section by section. I would only use these 2 steps, if the first tactic doesn't work, because as I said, it can be extremely time consuming and can easily get you out of your creative flow.

I hope I could help you.

Cheers!
