Taiwan to start shooting down Chinese drones

For sure I don't like the war mongering spirit on either side at the moment however I would say if you take a look at Chinese social media it's much the same if not worse. I read a post on Zhihu the other day that was making jokes about carpet bombing Taiwan and indiscriminately killing Taiwanese. What I find strange is it's kind of weird how such posts escape government censorship there.

I think you should also be careful when using the word westerner, as by saying that your essentially saying half the world thinks x. When the reality is more nuanced I'm a westerner and I'm not pro war in fact I would much prefer a desculation in tensions right now as my partner is Taiwanese so I have a stake in society here. I think often when people are referring to westerners they are often talking about a very Americocentric world view, European nations are quite different to America and have a range of diverse world views, cultures and politics. It's kind of like me being like all Easterners hate x when the reality is that doesn't mean much.
