Tassie’s inevitable lockdown rules

I’m not sure if you are being serious.

You’re concerned about someone travelling to Tasmania and having sex with a local?

Regardless, you do know that the virus is dormant for the first week to ten days in most individuals right? Nearly everyone that has been exposed will test negative on day 1. Positive cases are picked usually between days 5-8; symptoms showing between days 7-10.

With delta - you are infectious / spreading it far sooner; likely from day 3/4 even before you realise you’ve had it / been exposed as contact travers haven’t even caught up.

There is an argument to be made for a three week quarantine period as we’ve seen numerous cases in Australia leave quarantine after two weeks and testing positive between days 15-21.

All we can do is mask up, avoid large groups of people, get jabbed and let this thing die out.
