I absolutely agree with your sentiments. My anger stems from the fact that she paraded herself as superior for so long. It especially sucks because I similarly dealt with internalized anti-Blackness in my youth— both as a child of immigrants and from growing up in a predominately white community— but I never ever felt the need to insult my race nor that of any other... It’s sickening to read that anyone can have so much hatred toward any person/group, but it’s similarly appalling to see that white folks (such as Arie and Jordan kimball) are “calling her out” solely to perpetuate their agenda. I don’t know if the backlash she’s facing is appropriate, mainly because I’m an advocate of restorative justice, but I agree that she truly messed up regardless of the work she’s “done.”
