On the other hand, the people, at least in Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond (a huge market for them), that buy Teslas don't give a shit about politics. They get them to flaunt clout and keep up with the Joneses, end of list. Musk's childish antics aren't deterring those people one bit. And the die hard own the lib types aren't just rednecks, they are crypto bros and incel brogrammers that can and do buy Teslas.

Teslas aren't cars for hippies like the Prius and the Leaf, they are meant for conspicuous consumption, and the type of people that love that shit really don't give a tinkers damn if the CEO of Tesla is pissing people off on Twitter or starting civil wars for cheap battery stuffs.

I'm pleased he has fallen from grace, his worth is diminishing, and he has to pander to the worst people for attention, but the idea that Tesla needs liberal cred to survive just doesn't jive with your average Tesla owner.
