Thanks, I Hate The NFT Restaurant

I work in the cryptocurrency space full time providing legal services.

There is a stark contrast between the people trying to pump and dump a project and the one's who actually think the cryptocurrency space is capable of sustainable, organic growth.

Any "influencer" or "guru" is likely full of shit. Look at how frequently someone who's actually in the space tempers their language or expresses skepticism. Why is this? Because the people deepest into crypto -- The one's who care about policy, institutional adoption, and the actual use-cases moving forward are fully aware of the massive uphill battle it is.

A grifter on the other hand?

They think a fucking burger stand with a useless JPEG for a logo that doesn't even accept crypto as payment could be the 'future of food'.

It is cringe af.

I have an idea though for an actually useful NFT to help remedy this shit online.

Call it "Proof of Longevity Protocol".

The idea is that you mint a soulbound NFT to someone's ETH wallet that states which year they have activity on the blockchain that they can actually prove belongs to them.

This way, when some asshat online says that Dogecoin is going back to $0.50 this year, you can check their 'credentials' to see when they first got into the crypto space.

Personally, I bought my first cryptocurrency in 2012. I can prove that I owned a 2013 Dogecoin wallet. So my NFT would show that I got into crypto in 2013 even though I know I held crypto before that.

When you see some clown blowing smoke up everyone's ass and they got into crypto in the 2017/2021 cycle, you can decide for yourself how much weight their opinion should get compared to some OG Bitcoin holder from 2011.

Obviously nobody knows a goddamn thing about the crypto space these days. But at the very least the POLP would provide some way to monitor how 'green' the people slinging hopium are vs the people just accumulating during the bear market.
