I feel like no one with a severe mental illness/disorder is going to share your opinion. Only a neurotypical or someone high functioning (who expects everyone else with said disorder to be high functioning) would say people suffering from the symptoms of their illness are enabling themself lmfao. Some mental illnesses are more crippling than others. People literally go into psychosis and do crazy shit as a result of their mental illness, I think a dirty ass room/apartment isn’t high on the list of bad things severe mental illness can cause personally.
