Thanksgiving and IC: What do you eat?

I'll do turkey, mashed potatos, salad (I'll pick out tomatoes and onion and anything else 'weird' my family wants to add - I am picky and they are not lol) with a safe dressing, and rolls with butter...I think that's it. The only thing I miss and I miss it every single year is the cranberry sauce. Though now I remember I tried a single bite last year - a mere nibble - and while it didn't flare me it tasted so bitter I was turned off so maybe I won't miss it so much. I am bringing homemade maccaroni and cheese which everyone seemingly loves it and has it as a side and I make it so it's safe for me if I am in the mood - just not feeling it as of yet, may change my mind. At least I'll have something I can eat you know? When I had to be really, really careful in the begining I brought all my own food. I think I did like chicken breast because I like it more and it was easier, mashed potatoes to make sure butter and not margarine was used, and I brought my own bread that I knew were safe. I also think instead of salad I opted for green beans and broccoli. I just threw my tupperware in the microwave before we ate the and chicken in with the turkey to heat up in the oven and I was golden. Was it as 'good' as everyone else's food? Probably not. But did I still feel part of Thanksgiving? Yes! But honestly I am not a 'foodie'. Hell, I'd rather have Taco Bell myself but that might make some of the younger cousins in my family jealous if I brought that. ;) lol The diet is just too much for others to understand unless they like live and breathe IC with you 24/7 IMO. Even if they mean the very best like my grandma who asked me for a printed copy to make something for me one year - it ended up having a single ingredient I couldn't have and I felt awful telling her so I just ate a small bit of it and flared later. Not ideal with a long car trip home.
