Is there any sites other than reddit, where you can post to try and get your music out there?

Here's what happens when you attempt any sort of "networking" out there these days. Look at the climate of how people are. House prices are completely skyrocketing, yet wages are stagnant. Look at the price of houses on either coasts. Not going to get better in the future.

Available jobs are just going downhill and will continue to decline as robots start to do our work. Prices of everything keeps going up. Go look at the costs in supermarkets. Yet wages don't increase.

Things are really not going to be good for people's children in the future. Having a kid is just generally not a good idea these days because you know things will only get worse for them. You try and go find a job? That's not going to be happening because any ad has hundreds of views, hours later. You will not get hired, even dishwashing because somebody else is better than you.

They get home from their day jobs, there's 2-3 hours of spare time. Try to keep up with the increasing media overload, cuts in to people's sleep, making them more irritable. Look at how many things you have to keep up with during that little bit of spare time. How are you supposed to watch new movies, keep up with ongoing tv shows, sports, play video games, surfing around the internet for interesting stuff. A movie blows a night. Nice try keeping up with a sports team for a whole season. People are seriously burning out.

Go look at them heading to work in rush hour or walking around downtown to skyscraper offices. Not one is smiling. Go in a coffee shop, they look like depressed zombies. Nobody's happy.

How the hell are you supposed to pay off a house and retire. After age 50, your health will decline and if you thought things weren't fun before, well the party's really over then because it's only going to get worse as you get older.

These are the types of people you're telling me to try and go "network" with. They're cranky as hell and are not in the mood for other people's issues. They've got too many problems they already can't find solutions for.

So networking is not a good idea to try and do. They're just too cranky out there. Any attempts at trying to "reach out" to people, will just be ignored. I remember back when the internet started getting going, in the late 90's, people were nice. Well they sure aren't in recent years. Try sending somebody an email, it will be ignored even if you know them. They don't have time for you.
