i was 11 when d2 first came out and despite only having a mid level necro i found great fun in joining duel games. to my luck over the course of a week multiple people had accidentally let me loot their corpse (it's now a button that only exists in hardcore, but at the time it existed in softcore too and was literally right next to the hostile button.) i ended up with multiple inventories full of the best duped gear in the game with no idea what to do with it.

then - as an innocent 11 year old - i saw a message in chat saying i needed to give them my password or i'd be banned from the game. so i sent my password and lost my account. i wrote it off as karma for stealing all the other gear and made a new account.
