I disagree with the contentions against photographing the homeless. Homeless people, especially when they're at their worst, make great pics. You just gotta not be afraid to milk it and get the best shot possible!

I just think you should have gotten closer to his face or taken the time to compose it well. The shot is boring and un-composed, like you fearfully and took a shot and walked away hoping no one says anything to you or gives you bad looks. Sometimes that's necessary for a moment that only lasts a moment. But the dude was sleeping...

Get up in there, get that snot on his face nice and clear, and take the shot, well-composed!

The potential is there, but it looks like you just snapped a pic that looks like you used an iPhone like a spectator/pedestrian.
