""TOLERANT LEFT"" BEAT UP HOMELESS WOMAN PROTECTING TRUMP'S STAR

The creator of the video disabled comments and updated:

"UPDATE #2: I can see the right wing has already taken my video out of context and using for their political agenda. As stated above, I refuse to let this video be political, so I will be cancelling the comments section of the video, as people are just spewing hate, and that's not this video's purpose"

How can someone possibly watch these videos, in the form you chose to post them in, and take them out of context? Just because people have different perspectives than you, doesn't mean they're taking them out of context (especially now that you've added additional background information).

That's just an excuse from someone who refuses to have his or her worldview challenged. I know this is crazy, but maybe step back for a moment and just consider, that you might actually be wrong.

And for the record, everything is political. Even the professed reason for posting this video (showing the situation with poor mentally ill people having no day-to-day assistance, roaming the streets) is very political.

You're only fooling yourself by taking this supposed high and mighty stance of neutrality. There is nothing admirable or honest about it and you certainly aren't going to persuade anyone with it. Also, the fact that you automatically perceived everyone who disagreed with what is going on in these videos as "right wing" shows your bias (i.e. you're not neutral).

You don't want this video "to be political" because you don't want to be challenged. You disabled comments in an effort to censor dissenting opinion instead of accepting it as valid feedback and moving on.

Again, everything is political so you can't stop this video from 'being political' by censoring and preventing feedback. This is the exact problem many people on this subreddit are fighting against.

Creating echo chambers through censorship is becoming the preferred method by many who refuse to ever be challenged. This has always existed but it's found many new places to thrive today in academia, social media, etc.

How do you expect real growth to ever occur when we're surrounded by stilted conversations with no freedom (and lack of fear) to have honest debate and reflect critically on it?
