This is my first attempt at EDH. Since my initial post on /r/edh, I've made some substantial changes, and I've been doing a better job of realizing what's better for larger scale multiplayer games instead of being in a one-on-one mindset, but there are still improvements I'd like to make if at all possible:

  • I'm trying to keep this within a $30ish budget. The exceptions to this are: Basic Lands, Spear of Heliod, Dromoka's Command, Plea for Guidance, and Ugin, as I already have those cards (Ugin from my very first FNM, so while perhaps not the best choice, I'd definitely like to use him for the time being!)
  • I want to see if my mana ramp is enough. I have cards like Explosive Vegetation, Kodama's Reach, and Ivy Lane Denizen, amongst others, to help with mana, but I'm wondering if there are any other budget options I could add to my deck without it being stacked too much with "mana dorks(?)". My initial build had some other cards such as Avacyn's Pilgrim, but I took it out in favor of cards that search out lands instead of just tapping themselves.
  • Tying back to the budget, I'd like to keep the deck "cost efficient", while still being mindful of non-budget options. I'm keeping track of many of those options with my maybeboard, so in the future I know what I can upgrade to. Likewise, if there are any cards that could be considered upgrades to ones currently in my deck that don't break the bank, I'd love to hear them.
  • Really, I'm a bit too new to MTG to know if I'm doing anything specifically wrong. I've been taking all feedback I can and making adjustments here and there, so any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
