Trump is getting ‘terrible advice’ by planning news conference on anniversary of Capitol riot, ex-aide says

"Terrible advice" from the opinion of a political strategist. Political strategists were saying he was going to lose in a landslide against Hilary Clinton. I dont think traditional political thinking can be accurately applied to Donald trump. It's not by accident or coincidence that he is doing a conference on the anniversary. Donald trumps base has flocked to him because of who he is. Doing this is directly in line with what Donald trump is. His base is going to eat this up and he knows it. He may be a shitty person but he is playing his game, not traditional politics. Political strategists are not the people I would look to, to attempt to understand Donald trump or his base.
