Turning Request

Hey there.

Wasn't trying to be an asshole; just commenting on the level of accuracy you were requesting.

Whoever downvoted the comment ----hope it wasn't you --- isn't a turner (not in a meaningful, experienced sense of the word) and doesn't know what they're talking about.

Clearly what you've diagramed can be produced simply enough in metal on a machine-controled lathe or even by a skilled manchinist by hand on a metal lathe.

In wood, by hand is an entirely different matter and honestly I think it's a waste of time to go into all the details of why.

Your drawing implies accuracy. No production machinist gets to look at a drawing and guess how accurate the piece "really" needs to be. Of course, anyone skilled enough to do this will also be experienced enough to ask you some pertinent questions. I also doubt you're gonna have a long list of applicants.

But good luck; hope you find someone. .... and I'd suggest you have more than one of those chunks of rosewood ready to go.
