Twitch: We’ve heard from many of you that you want a safer TwitchCon, so we’re updating our policy. Masks will be required indoors, as well as either proof of vaccination or a negative covid test.

You are beyond delusional if you think it was humans coming together to prevent past disease spread.

Disease spread is purely a function of its intrinsic characteristics.

There is never a world where a virus that has spread globally that has a chance to persist will be 'stamped out' by human behavior.

You are delusional, as I say, moral grandstanders who truly think this virus is only around still because of anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers. It'd be here either way.

There will always be covens for viruses to be harbored in a human population. Even if a privileged, tech/IP-based economy like the US could theoretically go all work from home and mask up and have access to the best healthcare in the world (not talking costs here), there are billions of people in third world countries without that leisure or the infrastructure.

Congrats, reddit, being friendless losers and primarily students who could sit at home doing jack shit all day in a first world country with internet, attending your online lectures from the safety of your parents' home doesn't make you a hero.
