100%, people are way too polarized on this in general. Bulent is crazy impressive and showed a diverse set of skills, no doubt. That said, being an insufferable ass and defaulting to being a dick was very dangerous to his challenge in general. People act like the group didn't give him a chance, but they really did. They were of course weary of him off the bat because he came in sucking his own dick and shit talking everyone else he encountered. His only team interactions with the group were completely shot because he wasn't working with them in the way he had said he would. While I think the group could have been nicer and more accommodating toward him, it's hard for them to give him a break on anything if he shows and starts talking shit immediately.

Also, while he made it mostly alone, going solo puts you in a lot more danger. You can't sleep in shifts with people, no one is there to help if you get minor injuries that limit mobility, and your ability to manipulate your environment is actually a lot more limited (certain tasks either require 2 people, or become much easier at least with a second). He was able to get through everything, but his personality and poor cooperation left him vulnerable in a way the group never was.
