Writers Are Wrong About Therapy

It's true that therapy wouldn't work for Jimmy. He only considered going because of Kim, and therapy can only help people who want to be helped. It takes a lot of work to fully commit to it, and doing it simply because of being pressured by someone else would probably do more harm than good. But I think it's wrong to say that therapy wouldn't help anyone. Everyone is different, and some people feel a lot better with therapy. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think therapists are even allowed to prescribe meds, so there's no risk of "young people strung out on antidepressants" that you mentioned. Only psychiatrists can prescribe meds, and many of them don't even provide therapy.
