USDA admits weight loss not possible for people who don't like salmon

How about a non shitty discussion that whilst physically all it takes is doing somethings, there's a significant psychological aspect for some people. It's not an excuse, it's a fact. Bungy jumping and sky diving are just doing it, but some people struggle to take that one step. Hell, standing in a confined space is literally no "work", but there are some who have a serious problem doing that, it's not something you say "it's so simple" to.

I've done it, I've taken the step, and I've also had setbacks. I can speak from my experience and say that yes it's "simple" and "easy", it's also not simple and not easy. It can be hard work to keep going, even if the work itself is easy.

Individuals need to find what works for them, they need to find what can help them take that first step, and more importantly, what can help them take the step after that, and the one after that.

I don't think there's anyone out there who, upon hearing "it's simple", "it's easy", and "you just need to take that first step" actually changes their mind.

Self help for weight loss and fitness needs to be more about helping set up psychological self assistance. The actual doing it right comes later. I'd much rather hear people are trying and doing it wrong, than knowing how to do it, but not trying.
