[Serious] People who have experienced school shootings, what was it like to come back to school after the shooting?

Mine wasnt a shooting but more of a hostage situation by armed man.

Basically i was at the high school and oir day eneded early because are soccer game finished early (which was the last activity we did).

So i decided to go down to the primary school to say hello to my old teachers. I went there, had a chat and then the alarm rang, and me i was confused i thought it was the school bell and im thinking why is their school ending 20 minites early?

One of my old teachers quickly hurries me insode the buildings and by then i know it is on lockdown.

An armed man was in the school and out of classes went into the one i was in. Kids around me were crying. I was i a hole in the wall i had discovered from my days back in that school. So he walks in and takes a Grade six student hostage, at this time he has walked past my hidey hole.

I dont know what to do, so with the first thing i see, a metal ruler, and hit him on the neck. His gun falls out of his hand and falls over. And im freaking out, im like omfg i just killed a fu***ng man.

And i got an honor award for that, from the school.
