Like it's not as crazy as the poster is making out. This is what happens. They turn up to a place, one guy tied up and the other with a gun. I am no fan of the police but you'd be calling them dumb if they didn't arrest and investigate, and just believed the dude with the gun and let him go. It's not up to the police on the ground to decide if the force was reasonable or what exactly has happened without investigation. Charges werent brought so I don't see what the problem was.

A similar thing happened in my city. Old man killed an burglar with a knife, while the burglar was assaulting him and threating his disabled wife. He was taken into custody for a day while they investigated what he was saying was correct, charges weren't brought, and he was let home.
