Uvic vs Dalhousie for Engineering

Yo, i’m a Chemical Engineering student currently in 5th year. (coop)

Dal’s Engineering program is exceptional in providing you with the necessities to learn and expand into applied sciences. It’s not perfect, but its provided me with all the tools to a reputable upcoming engineer. With regards to UVic vs Dal and the benefits they provide, its almost negligible with regards to possible employment opportunities. I’ve never heard of anyone losing employment opportunities based off which university they’ve attended; employers are generally more interested in your GPA fresh out of graduation.

Engineering coop from dal is amazing, (I worked in the Oil & gas out west and in the mining & smelting industry in central Canada) however Id suggest expanding your job placements outside of Nova Scotia as industry here is quite bleak at the moment. I have no regrets and I don’t think you would either. (expect for the fact that engineering is very hard and will test your sanity)
