Vet School Application

Had a similar sciGPA, lower cumGPA and around a 3.44 for a last 45 GPA. Somehow got into Cornell Vet. My saving grace was probably my GRE (163V, 160Q), which Cornell weighs more heavily than most schools. I also had some behavioral research experience which could have also played well in my application. Unless you’re looking at overseas schools, I’d try to crush the GRE and apply to schools that do consider it as equal to GPA. Your experience only puts you just above every other applicant so academics is where your focus to improve should be. Applying this year with what you have is fine too. But definitely ask for file reviews so you know what admissions themselves wants you to improve on.
