Video games at a [7] and never want to play sober again..

I don't trust anything Overkill Alamir or their studio says anymore.

They're removing them now in hopes of getting the good response and press reputation now in order to store their positive feedback for new games they will make. To sell their future games, they need to make these claims and do something drastic like removing microtransactions 2/3 of a year later. In other words Overkill is removing microtransactions just to get the talk going again and maybe earning a small portion of the original PayDay 2 playerbase back. Why this is only removing microtransactions like 2/3 of a year later because they made enough money should prove what kind of company they are.

Basically, Overkill Alamir is saying that he is done charging us money for the micro transaction because Overkill aka Starbreeze Studio has earned enough profit. They want to collect the people that quit back because they know they can make the real money with costly weapon DLC and character packs and map packs.

I know this for a fact because Overkill is not a non-profit organization, they are a for-profit company. In Overkill Alamir's AMA on the subareddit, he said that "the numbers add up" and lines of "the players love it" when he was introducing Microtransactions. The worse part of all of this is that all of the weapon skins looked really bad and they were still making money off young players and kids, and some other people who enjoyed cosmetic (which I respect your personal opinion).

Microtransactions did not sell well enough to make up for the loss in their original, multitude of the playerbase. It also earned their company and subsidiaries of the poor reputation earned after the events of the disaster that is Crimefest 2. This is basically Overkill saying they've earned enough money for microtransactions, now we're going full force forward with DLC and heister dlc character packs.

A betrayal of a relationship happened during the Crimefest 2, and with major backlash. Overkill Alamir said shame on us for thinking about microtransactions in PayDay 2,said they won't have them and broke that promise. They might pull something stupid again, they have their up and downs. They're proven liars again and again, should not be easily trusted by such shady business practises. TLDR = Overkill Alamir is playing us all like a damn fiddle.

Also, I would like to mention that this is for serious discussion, about the transcession of future development of this game. This isn't a shitpost. If you disagree that's your opinion. In my opinion, everything Overkill does is about earning money while falsifying the facade of pleasing the playerbase. They're not just removing microtransactions for no reason. Please respect everybody's opinion.
