"None can be stronger than Fatalis" Disufiora: angry screaming When it comes to black dragon hierarchy outside of the fatalis's which I would like to say I think crimson could very well be on par with white fatalis but outside of those three the others, (for the sake of numbers I'll include frontier and online) they often get ranked as weaker but are they really? The problem with these black dragons is that outside of base fatalis they have NO feats. Anything they have done was likely wiped from the records in lore as we know they did with Alatreon. The only reason Fatalis is know is because of castle shraude. Without it, Fatalis would be with all the rest. And even then, fatalis doesn't have a lot of info on it. Most of the stuff people claim is canon is made up. As for the debate of whether monsters like safi'jivia can take on black dragons? Probably. Its implied that Alatreon was drawn to Safi'jivia. And to be frank I can't imagine Alatreon would be drawn to a monster weaker than itself without killing the thing. What about Dalamadur? Considering this thing can eat through entire mountains, If it made a beeline to shraude it likely would have been devoured. I feel like monsters like this could easily fit in the black dragon catagory which is officially named "Dangerous 1st Class Monsters." Wdyt?
