Can I get some guidance on the implementation of Standardized Language in my Workplace?

I am very pro effective language, not necessarily standardized language in all contexts. Effective language, being that team members understand what is being asked and language is specific and direct.

Standardized goes beyond this and dictates a very specific methodology to accomplish effective language. This being said, my supervising style makes use of language in command to promote empowerment and critical thinking amongst my team. It’s an integral part of how I train my guys to be leaders. The language is effective, however, it is not standardized if compared to another effective style.

I absolutely see the benefits of effective language and even a standardized language in certain contexts, however, it appears to me that my manager is either ignoring the very apparent tradeoffs, or is refusing to justify to me why these tradeoffs are valid.
