Wegovy or Weight Loss Surgery

Kool-aid man'ing here. I had the sleeve and would absolutely have had the bypass if I could pick differently. I would even look at DS if available. Many people (including me) find the sleeve more appealing because it seems less invasive or drastic, but the truth is that people in our weight range (I was 346) *need* drastic and invasive. There is a reason that bypass has better stats for long-term success.
I know several people who have had weight loss surgery and the only ones who have had long-term success with the sleeve were one who started at under 250 lbs. That is just anecdata, I know, but it makes me think about my surgical choice, which was not the right one for me.

If Wegovy had been available when I had my sleeve, I would have tried it first. I think needing both is definitely real for many people.
