Welcome Back!!! (end of King Park @ PlayStation Theater in NYC)

It's supposed to be unsettling. I don't think anyone in the band would say you're supposed to like seeing the crowd doing that — in fact Jordan has commented to more or less the same effect in various interviews. The context doesn't make it okay — in a lot of ways if makes it worse. And yet it connects with people — maybe unfortunately, but nevertheless undeniably — and so the song is played, and will continue to be played, so long as it remains relevant. You shouldn't have to apologize for honesty in music, and neither should the willingness of others to engage with that honesty turn you away from a piece of art. Do you think photojournalists, painters, sculptures, enjoy capturing or recreating scenes of war and destruction?
