I don’t think people necessarily dislike duviri, but more that is may as well be a completely different game. We were all worried that this would be yet another open world content island, and that may as well be what it is. I think drifter combat is fun albeit a bit clunky, but it is not Warframe. This felt more like a remnant of some other game that was in the works.

As for the new player experience: this has ALWAYS been problem #1 for Warframe. Now it’s even more confusing. We can all have our own takes on spoiling the story (I think it’s a bad thing), but starting off the player with, as mentioned, non-Warframe gameplay, will just cause tons of confusion later on. It is a baffling decision, truly.

With all that being said, the circuit and incarnon weapons are a huge win for this update. Making frames available more easily for new players (and frames like Grendel that suck to get), as well as giving old trash weapons a huge buff of sorts is great.

Also, getting “hype poisoned” is fair. This was touted as a huge, game-changing update. We have been awaiting this update for years through its delays. To have it fall flat is very disappointing.
